Don’t be Scammed
Good morning Friend,
I trust you had an exciting weekend. Today, by the grace of God, we continue on our series on the Book of Daniel and God has been faithful in revealing some really amazing insights during the course of this season. As I read through the Book, I noticed a really powerful secret which I believe many folks have not come to terms with.
Daniel 2:3-11 (KJV) And the King said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.4. Then spake the Chaldeans to the King in Syriack, O King live forever: tell thy servant the dream and we will shew the interpretarion. 5. Then the King answered and said to the Chaldeans, the thing is gone from me; if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut into pieces and your houses shall be made a dunghill. 6. But if ye shew me the dream and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive if me gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the dream and the interpretation thereof. 7. They answered again and said, let the king tell his servants the dream and we will shew the interpretation of it. 8. The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me.
10. the Chaldeans answered before the king and said, there is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king’s matter: therefore there is no king, lord nor ruler that asked such things at any magician, astrologer or Chaldean. 11. And it is a rare thing that the king requireth and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.
We were scammed! We were scammed to believe that the devil knew all things. Friends, I want you to believe with all your heart what I am about to share with you. The devil does not know everything! His servants made it clear that the request of the king was out of their league and it was something they could not handle. Even the king’s death threat couldn’t pressure them to come up with the solution because they did not have it.
We were scammed to believe that the devil knew our future and our “glory”. We were scammed to believe that he knew the things in our heart. We were scammed! The Chaldeans needed the king to voice his dream before they could have the material to work with, otherwise, the devil had no access to his subconscious soul to spool that “data” from it. The king’s vocal chord was more powerful than the Central Intelligence Agency of the enemy. This is why we must be careful what we say and with whom we share our deep and secret thoughts. The enemy usually doesn’t know the details of the things God has laid in our heart until we say them casually and carelessly. This is why we must learn to be discrete and guard the secret things God has laid in our hearts.
I think generally, people have an over estimation of the devil’s capacity, and how excited he must be about our faith in him. Sometimes, he literally just sits out and watches how we impress him with super amazing reviews of his capacity and he’s like “Oh, I didn’t know I could do that! Interesting!”. The Chaldeans made it abundantly clear that there is no magician, astrologer or Chaldean that could interpret an untold dream except for the “gods” whose dwelling as they supposed was not among men. But glory to God, God indwells us and can makes known, deep and secret things.
False prophets and familiar spirits thrive on the spoken words they hear from men, they cannot see or perceive what is untold, only God knows this and we must understand it as such. Even when it was made abundantly clear in scriptures, the entire host of demons and the arch enemy himself still missed the loudest and most repeated reality in scriptures; that God will send His Son to die for the sins of the world. Guess what they did? They provided the evil hands required to fulfil the prophecy without even knowing.
1 Cor 2:8 (KJV) 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Don’t be scammed friends. The enemy does not know everything. If he did, he wouldn’t have had to kill millions of babies in order to kill just one (Moses), and then only to eventually nurse him under his own roof for another 40 years. He did the same with Jesus. He even needed the wise men to jog his (Herod) memory of the documented history of the Torah. Why does the devil go through that sort of trial and error approach if he had specific knowledge about God’s purpose and agenda? Please understand, that the devil is not to be undermined or belittled, he does have manipulative powers, but he only manipulates what has been revealed in some human way or the other. We must not be carried away by the emphasis of our cultural environment on the atrocities attributed to him. We must remain sober and objective by The Word. We must learn to see him exactly the way The Word has portrayed him and not have an exaggerated sense of his powers.
God alone is supreme!
He alone is to be feared!
He alone is to be praised!
He alone has all power and might!
I write by the Spirit of God;
Put Him in a class all by Himself!
Crown Him King, Judge and Lawgiver!
Sanctify Him in your heart!
Declare His worth among the congregation!
Magnify the Lord!
Exalt His name!
He alone is to be praised and adored.
As The Lord is extoled over and above all else in your life, He will begin to fill all things around you with Himself.
Have a fruitful week ahead.
