Good morning Friend,
I trust you had a great weekend. Throwback February was indeed fantastic, thanks to the insightful articles shared from way back.
Today by God’s Grace, I’ll be inviting you into a prophetic encounter with the Holy Spirit. I urge you to open up your heart and lean on Understanding for Insight.
We live in perhaps the most spoken about moment in history as far as the scriptural injunctions are concerned. Asides the concrete events surrounding the Birth, Life, Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ which was the loudest prophetic narrative in scriptures, the realities of the times we live in otherwise known as end time, perilous times, last days are as much in the same league in terms of recurrence. This is largely due to its connection to the return of the Great King.
Make no mistake friends, we are in the last days of this party we’re having down here in the world. The time is ticking (in line with this, damioguntunde.com/tick-tock-tick-tock/ will be an insightful article to read up on).
There is a very instructive incident in scripture that I would like to point your attention to, understanding this will change your perspective and indeed the basis of your choices going forward.
John 7:37-39 (KJV) In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
There is so much to glean from this short passage of scripture and I would like you to follow me closely as we listen to the what the Voice of Spirit is saying about the days we live in;
The Feast is Almost Over: There was the celebration of the Feast of Telabernacles, one of the three most important feasts in the Jewish tradition, and folks had come from all over to celebrate this feast. It was indeed a feast of eating, drinking and making merry. On the final days of such feasts, the likelihood of finding anyone who is still hungry and thirsty is pretty slim. People literally come to eat and drink at these feasts, but Jesus waited till the final and last day and began to make a loud announcement that if anyone is still thirsty… Let him come to Him. Hmmn. Something sure doesn’t add up. Sir, no-one is hungry or thirsty, we all came here to eat and now we’re filled. Well, that is answer you expect from someone who only processes things from the natural point of view.
Jesus was not referring to the natural drink in that verse, He was referring to a spiritual one, which no feast could offer. Jesus waited till the last day of the feast before this announcement, because He was seeking the right audience. If He had asked from the first day, perhaps everyone would have showed up, but He was looking for those who had tried the carnal, the natural and the mundane and remained unsatisfied. He was looking for those who longed for more. He wanted to see those who longed for more than the bread that perishes, for those who sought for LIFE.
This feast going on in the world is coming to an end very soon. And one of the key signs about this shift is the way more people will be getting tired of what does not satisfy. Evidenced by the growing amount of cases of depression, suicide and other related issues. It is becoming clearer that money, fame, power and possessions cannot truly satisfy.
There will indeed be a hunger and thirst for the things of the Spirit. Churches who emphasize the beggerly elements of this world will soon lose their appeal as men plunge into arenas where the Fire of the Spirit is present.
There indeed is an awakening and God is not known to ever be on the back foot. Yes in the last days, men will become vane, lovers of themselves, disobedient and intolerant of truth, but in these same last days, the glory and the power of God will cover the earth as waters cover the seas. Men will trip over themselves to have a Calvary Experience… One touch from the Holy Ghost will indeed weigh more than $30 Billion in the account… That which seems to fill but drains away, will be replaced with that which fully fills.
Another beautiful thing to see here is that Jesus does not invite you, so He could fill you from without, He simply activates the rivers of living water already resident in your spirit and releases it to begin to flow towards others. The solution is within your spirit, the healing is in you, that power is right there awaiting engagement. Do not be slack. Lives are out there crying for a touch, be that torch!
I invite you to the banquet of the Spirit. A place of fellowship and Communion. Where what you have is about to be the most coveted possession in all of human experience. Having the Holy Spirit and allowing Him flow through you to others like the rivers of living waters, will soon become the most sought after experience in the world. Mark these words friends…
So if you thirst for more than the world can give, then come to the One who arrays Himself in Light which no carnal man can approach.
I hope this blessed your heart. Do well to share with friends.
God bless your heart.
Have a remarkable week ahead.
