Good morning Friends. It’s such a beautiful privilege to be a Christian. As much as it lies in our capacity, I implore us to ALWAYS live in the consciousness of how precious what we have is. Paul the apostle warned against neglecting such a great salvation that we have received. We may never fully know the true worth of what we have on this side of eternity, but friends… it’s the greatest gift God could ever give. We are recipients of His Amazing Grace. Today I would like to put us in remembrance of something really profound. Many times, we feel like whenever we are going through a tough season, God got acquainted with it at that instant of the situation. This is what I mean, your knowledge of reality TODAY, is not NEWS to God. Whenever we approach God, we must approach Him knowing that way BEFORE our situations and circumstances showed up, God had been acquainted with our path. Whenever God deals with our lives, He desires for us to live in the consciousness of the fact that BEFORE we even knew ourselves, He had known us. BEFORE you made a decision to receive Jesus into your life, He knew… BEFORE your trip to the other side of the coast in your homeland to serve your father land, He knew… BEFORE you met your wife who has now become a blessing to you, He knew… BEFORE you thought you needed God, He knew you would make a decision for Him. Whatever you think you’re the first to know about your life, just remember that God is a BEFORE God.
John 1:48 (KJV) Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, BEFORE that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Jer 1:5 (KJV) BEFORE I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee,and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
When it comes to God’s knowledge of you, the answer has ALWAYS BEEN and will ALWAYS be BEFORE. Nathaniel thought that when he showed up was when Jesus met him for the first time, but he was wrong… Jesus had known him BEFORE. There is something this does to you, it makes you realise that God is hugely interested in the outcomes of your life. If He could take much interest in your pre existence, then your destiny matters a lot to Him. God would like to communicate some truths to you with this piece… are you ready?
1. BEFORE you made your first mistake, God knew: God did not plan your mistake neither did He make it happen. God doesn’t tempt with evil and cannot be tempted.
James 2:13 (KKV) Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
God does not tempt and does not lead into temptation, but I want you to know that BEFORE you made your first mistake or perhaps your most recent one, God knew. He hoped you wouldn’t have to make it, but made provisions for you in case you did. In many cases Jesus prayed that you wouldn’t have to make such mistakes, but is He helpless when you do? No! The reason is because BEFORE you made it, He knew and He made the necessary provisions for your redemption in the midst of that error. When we understand this, we would stop asking why God planted a tree in the garden when He knew Adam would fall. God didn’t plan that Adam would fall, but God’s plan for humanity is too lofty and impenetrable to be limited by a human error. God is too big to be handicapped by your mistakes. BEFORE you made them, He knew and He had a route of escape for you. Glory to God. Don’t mock God by how you magnify your errors. Don’t limit God by how you celebrate your mistakes. God is an “OMNI” God, He can make EVERYTHING out of ABSOLUTE NOTHINGNESS… Well he did that already! Magnify His Grace and Power and watch Him turn your errors into colours of glory.
2. BEFORE you decided to be committed to Him, He had been committed to you:
This just gets me pumped. God is not a reactionary God. He didn’t love you when you started coming to Church and paying your tithe religiously, His Love for you didn’t start when you won your first soul, He didn’t start loving you when you preached your first fantastic sermon. He had loved you since eternity past and there is NOTHING you can do about that. You either accept it or reject, you could never UNDO it. His Love for you is DONE and cannot be UNDONE. Glory God!. Ever BEFORE Jesus performed His first miracle, the Father had declared Him His Beloved Son. God didn’t even give Him a chance to overcome the devil’s temptation BEFORE he told the whole audience in Jordan how pleased He was in Jesus. God wants you to know that BEFORE you could move in God’s direction, He had moved within your reach. God couldn’t improve on the love He has for you even if He wanted to. Isn’t that just romantic! *smiles* I don’t know about you, but whenever I think of God’s love for me, it gets me blushing. Oh well, I know I’m dark and couldn’t possibly blush… That should tell you that whatever could get a dark man blushing must be powerful indeed.
1 John 4:19 (KJV) We love him, because he FIRST loved us.
He doesn’t love us because we love Him, we love Him only in response to His already unreserved display of His Love towards us. Hallelujah.
3. BEFORE your answer comes, God has done it: Yeah I know this might not make much sense, but I’ll say it anyways and I hope you do get it. BEFORE you see your answer, understand that God has done it. You seeing answers are only proof to your carnal/sensual knowledge that God has done it, not to your spirit. Your spirit rejoices when God does it, not when you see it… Hallelujah. It would be good for you to catch up with the pace of your spirit when it comes to reaching out to what God has in store for you. God is preoccupied with you. (Please ponder on that for a bit). He seeks every available opportunity bless you with many blessings, so you can as well begin to rejoice in the Lord. When you operate on this realm of reality, physical manifestation wouldn’t get you more excited about God’s Faithfulness like God’s Word would.
These 3 thoughts I’ve shared with you are the things God laid in my heart to share with you this morning. I want you to go out this morning with the consciousness that BEFORE you made your first mistake God knew, BEFORE you ever thought of loving God, God loved you and BEFORE your answer comes, God has done it. Receive insight and revelation knowledge in Jesus name. Rejoicing is your portion today in Jesus name. Everything targeted at stifling your joy is quenched by the Spirit in Jesus name.
