God is Simple

I know that caption alone has taken some of you aback. “God for sure is the most complex matter ever!” you’d say. Further buttressed by the way Preachers say things like ” He’s so deep, you can’t go under Him, so high, you can’t go over Him, so long, you can’t go across Him, so wide you can’t go around Him” that just makes you want to give up already. You say to yourself, why bother starting a relationship with someone you have no hope of eventually knowing?

As true as those Preacher statements are, and i have been guilty of saying them too, nothing is as amazing as the simplicity of God. Actually, it’s the fact that He’s that complex and yet so simple that makes it all so amazing. He sits in the circles of the earth, makes the earth His foot stool, flung the earth in space, spread the firmament like a curtain, and yet abides in my heart.

He can do all things, knows all things, decree all things, and yet knocks the door of your heart for permission to enter. He could have come as a king on a white, blazing horse with millions of chariots surrounding him screaming and trumpeting for everyone’s attention, yet he came silently to a stable and was welcomed only by peasant shepherds.

Doctors need at least 7years of training to handle some minor ailments and even much more to handle others, but by a simple laying on of hands, Cancer, AIDS, Hepatitis and Ebola disappear. Who is this God, that makes simple the most complex of matters? How could God be so humane! Sometimes, we actually miss Him because He’s too simple for our grasp.

If we were told that, the ticket to gain entry into heaven and have a relationship with Him, involves the provision of 9 and a half tusks of an elephant, the proboscis of a mosquito and the molars of a grown crocodile, I’m sure we’d believe that and rush at getting those things. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in your heart and know your mouth, that if you simply believe in your heart the Lord Jesus and confess with your mouth, that He was raised from the dead, you shall be saved. How simple!

You need no mountain to gain better network access to God, all you need is a will that wants to say FATHER. Your prayers don’t have to go beyond the ceiling, not even beyond your nose, because He’s right inside you. God is so simple, so simple that when you finally find Him, you’re wondering where and how you’ve missed Him all these years. He’s ready to hear you, everything you have to say. HIS FIRST NAME IS LOVE.

For the next few weeks on this site, we’d further bring to your consciousness the simplicity of the gospel, that we have received. Paul warned that we be not beguiled from the simplicity of the gospel. Albert Einstein opined once that if you can’t explain it to a 5year old, you probably don’t know it yourself. The more intelligent a person is, the more he should be able to bring complexity to simplicity. God is by far at the zenith of Intelligence, and that’s why He’s that simple.
