Jesus Didn’t Die Over 2,000 Years Ago

by Damilola

Ok, I’m sure that kinda got your attention. You’re wondering “of course Jesus died over 2,000 years ago!, this guy and all these his startling statements though.” The purpose of this post today is to bring you to a place of assurance about the reality of the forgiveness of your sins. God is not about to forgive you, He already has forgiven you, all you need do is simply receive the forgiveness. The emphasis of the Gospel(the too good to be true news), is not the forsaking of sins, but the forgiveness of sins.

Act 13:38-39
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Any Gospel that emphasises the Forsaking above the Forgiveness is putting the cart before the horse, because Paul reminds us that it is the goodness of God that leads us all to repentance. The goodness of God is primarily revealed through His forgiveness of our sins. Peter had received the net breaking, ship sinking miracle before he repented, infact it was after he witnessed the Grace of Jesus, that he realised how sinful he was. Many times we want to prove to black that it’s black by talking about how black it is, black just might be oblivious of how black it is, but when you put some white right beside it, every argument dissolves, black itself can see that there’s a world of difference. Show love to those you insist should get born again, preach Jesus to them, not their sins or hell… Simply Jesus. He’s enough!

Rom 2:4
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

I’m sure some of you are like… “So what part does he tell us how Jesus didn’t die 2000+ years ago?” Patience! Ok this is it, many of us have issue with believing that all our sins are forgiven; past, present and future primarily because we think somehow in our subconscious mind that Jesus died when we were not born, so He couldn’t possibly have paid for our sins as at back then. So any sin we commit now is not covered by His payment, and that’s why there seems to be so much emphasis on the confession of sins(now there’s a whole lot to deal with on this, but today isn’t for that), that God may (just now) forgive us. Let me show you a scripture that would help you understand this better.

Heb 9:24-28
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world:but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Does Jesus die again, every time we sin? The high priest of the old testament made atonement every year, because the blood of bulls and goats couldn’t do a thorough job, it could only suffice for a year, and then they would have to atone again, but when the MAN JESUS came unto the scene, He did something really amazing, you’d need some faith to believe what I’m about to say. Though it’s clear in scripture, but it’s not usually considered, verse 26 brings that reality to life; JESUS DIED AT THE END OF THE WORLD. Jesus died according to time, over 2,000 years ago, but in the stage of heaven and according to the true tabernacle of heaven, Jesus died at the end of the world.

The implication of that is this; Jesus didn’t die only for the sins of those who had lived before Him, and those living in the time He lived, He died for the sins of ALL time, that’s the reason He doesn’t have to keep dying every millennia or turn of the century. He died when ALL the sins of mankind had been compiled at the END of the world, and right then He asked “How much do they owe?” And death and sin said “They owe this much!”, and then He said “Here is my blood, an overpayment for ALL their sins, you will NEVER have to demand the payment from them again, that would be double jeopardy”. Glory to God!. The only people at risk are those who don’t KNOW how far reaching the blood was. They focus on how far reaching the consequences of their sins are, and forget how eternity reaching the “consequence” of the blood is.

Col 2:15
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Like I’ll always say, when Jesus made an open show of the enemies of mankind, many people missed the party, that was the biggest showbiz of all time. The good news is therefore all about telling folks about the party they missed. So this goes out to that person who thinks he can outsin God’s Grace, sorry to burst your bubble… JESUS paid for the Sins of all time, after it had been compiled at the END of the world, and even at that he made an overpayment. What a JESUS! what a security! What a guarantee! In my next post, I just might write on the topic; Hell; The Ultimate Proof Of God’s Love. Please share this link if it’s been a blessing to you, people really need to know these things. What a way to start your week, have a fruitful one ahead! God bless your heart!

Be not deceived, ask the Holy spirit to teach you the bible that you may not go to hell. if you sin ask for for forgiveness.Jesus died for that you might be forgiven of your sins, if you repent. The bible says, Hebrews 11:14(KJV) “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”. We are already forgiven meaning that we can see the Lord, therefore i can sin as i want. No! I must follow holiness to see the Lord.It is written in the scriptures that.be ye holy; for i am holy. Why do i need to be holy if i am already forgiven. The blood of Jesus is to wash away your sins, when you ask for forgiveness and repent.2 Peter 3:9(KJV)”The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” Your Father is willing to forgive you your sin because he has sent his son to die for mankind that he may obtain forgiveness when he repents.
Beware for Jesus warned of false Christ coming in his name in this last days.I will advice you to read this.Matthew 24:24, (KJV)1John1:9, (KJV)1 timothy 4:1-2.Remember, ask Jesus to teach you the word and do meditate on them lest you be lead astray.Ask God for wisdom, and understanding for his word and believe he has given you.
