Leadership of The Spirit

Good morning Friend. I trust you had a great weekend. It’s a beautiful journey isn’t it? The Christian walk is a beautiful one, full of adventures in the Spirit. Sometimes I wonder how those without Christ actually survive in a world full of uncertainties, fears, disappointment and crisis. No matter how much money a man has, if he doesn’t have the prosperity of the soul, which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, then he is still as broke as a broken tooth. The reason is because he will be willing to give all he has, just to have a taste of righteousness, peace and joy. Like I will always say; the most important things are not things. Today we will be going into a series of teaching that addresses one of the most important subjects in a believer’s life. It is the subject of being led by the Spirit of God. Many believers are confused and clueless when it comes to receiving instructions from God. They have never imagined themselves receiving a direct instruction from God. They believe it is meant for a selected few who have been “anointed” for ministry. These series of teaching by God’s grace will address these grey areas about being led by the Spirit of God. I personally believe that immediately after the subject of salvation, the next most important subject to be taught is how a believer can be led of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:14 (KKV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The inability of many believers to hear God for themselves has empowered the enemy against the Church to a large extent, and that is why the truth must be pumped out there in large volumes so no one would have any excuse of ignorance. We have a lot of ministries today that are solely built on the premise of deception. If all believers were well taught in the Word of God, they will run those challatans and peddlers of adulterated word out of business. If every believer were led of the Spirit, there would be no single false teacher or prophet any where near the Church. Any product that is not consumed cannot remain in business, isn’t it? That being said, we would be killing some sacred cows that surround the teaching of being led by the Spirit, we would also be examining what it means to be led by the Spirit and how to be led by the Spirit of God in such a perverse generation we live in today. I will be highlighting some points in these series of teaching, my prayer is that God will illuminate your heart to see the truth of His Word in the letters of these articles.

There are some sacred cows that must be killed before our airwaves can be cleared to receive from the throne of Grace. Here are some…

1. Hearing from God is for a selected few:

Many times, we see those who say they hear God as super spirituals. Those who probably have “more” of God than we have. That is simply untrue. No one has more of the Spirit than another. You either have the Spirit of God or you don’t, and if you are born again, then you have that raising from the dead, wall to wall Holy Ghost power resident in you. Romans 8:9. He is resident in every believer. He is just more active in some than in others. Every born again believer ought to be led by the Holy Ghost as easily as a little baby differentiates her mummy’s scent from another’s.

John 10:26-27 (KJV) But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

So we see here that as long as you’re a believer, then you have the capacity to hear God naturally supernatural. Many sheep have been blindfolded by wolves and made to believe in a lie that hearing from God is for a selected few who have been specially anointed with a prophetic unction. That is as untrue as saying worms need salt to survive. If you’re His sheep, then you hear His voice and He knows you and you naturally desire to follow Him. Any teaching otherwise has corrupted the verity of scriptures and God’s GRACE doesn’t back such teachings up. You must first of all believe this with all your heart; that you can be led of God as clearly as possible. God is not far away, He is ever present and always seeking opportunities to speak with His sheep.

2. You must be perfect to be led by God:

This is another similar sacred cow that must be killed as fast as possible when it comes to being led by the Spirit of God. If God would need men to be perfect to speak with them, then we would all have to be killed the moment we get born again, get to heaven and then be able to hear God directly. For as long as we are on earth, God would have to use the vessels He has. No one will be perfect in terms of being sinless here on this eternal divide. Our spirit has been regenerated and is perfect, our soul is being renewed and our body cannot be saved until He shows up and gives us a glorified body. So as far as we are in this body of sin, we would constantly need to renew our minds by the Word in order to do what is pleasing to God. So brothers and sisters, you don’t have to have kept a clean slate for at least a year to qualify for being led by the Spirit of God. Over 90 % of the problems an average believer has will be solved if he/she simply learns to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

These sacred cows must be killed before we go into the core of how to be led by the Holy Spirit. There are still a few more sacred cows we’d be killing together in the next series. It’s going to be a long ride. I’m so not in a hurry! I trust God to enlarge our hearts to receive these teachings. I would not be saying anything that is not provable by the scriptures. God has not called me to preach my opinions, but His Word… undiluted!
