I trust your weekend went well.
Today, we continue on the series of teaching we began some weeks back on the subject of The Holy Spirit and how He leads the believer.
We established in the last post, that The Holy Spirit communicates Truth to us through the ONLY agency designed by God to uproot lies. This agency being Meditation. Join me as we go a step further in unbundling the mystery of Meditation.
Let’s reestablish our anchor Scripture for this Series.
John 16:7-15 KJV
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
We see very clearly here, how Jesus states the ultimate purpose of the Holy Spirit; To Guide Us into ALL TRUTH. The Truth is not mere data, information, facts or statistics shelved in a local Library. The Truth is a Person and He is Jesus Christ. This truth, is the last thing the world system is designed to reveal. The world systems can only communicate what it knows and what it’s acquainted with as reality, and that reality is diametrically opposed to The Truth of God’s Word. In fact, the world’s systems actively fights against any appearance of The Christ anywhere it sees it. Remember how the Babylonian system attempted to stifle Daniel’s fellowship with His God? That’s the way every system under the control of the prince of the air and god of this world, is designed to operate.
So, you see that the Assignment of the Holy Spirit is quite intricate, as He needs to go into the very subconscious of your being to begin to undo and untangle the strongholds of wrong beliefs and mindsets, introduced by alien systems, which have inadvertently shaped your life hitherto. The Holy Spirit must superimpose The Truth of God’s Word on your heart! That is His Assignment, however, He cannot effectively teach you and help you comprehend TRUTH if you don’t show up in class. Reading your Bible is the entry level of your spiritual journey into ALL TRUTH! If you read your Bible like just another printed material, you wouldn’t have done your spirit man much good. The real meat of The Word is gotten in the place of Meditation, where The Holy Spirit brings to life the actual spiritual energy encoded in that Word.
2 Peter 1:19-21 KJV
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Spirit is the Author of Scripture as He actually inspired those who scripted the Scripture. They were not just writing what they thought were cool enough thoughts to make it into the canon, they wrote as they were moved! So, you do not need to go to Moses to understand Genesis to Deuteronomy, simply go to the One who inspired Moses to write the Pentateuch; The Holy Spirit and you would have gone to the most authorised dealer of TRUTH. It is also clear according to the passage in 2 Peter that there is no aspect of the Written Scripture that is of private interpretation apart from the Holy Spirit. He gives interpretation to Scripture, not you or even the writer gives the interpretation. Because Isaiah may be writing under the inspiration, something he really has no idea about. For example, that a virgin will give birth is something he obviously had never seen or experienced, so left to his mind he could never have written what is documented in Isaiah 7:14. But the Holy Spirit inspired him to write that because He knows about a Mary that will show up in the scene to execute that mandate several centuries after the utterance. He is the director of how The Scripture was scripted.
Peter said how The Holy Spirit helps us come into this accurate interpretation is by we taking heed unto the Word of Prophecy as unto a light that shines in a dark place. When you read the Bible and simply have the knowledge in your head pretty much like your Biology Textbook, that Word is simply shinning in a dark place, it is yet to dawn! That word ought not to remain at that level because if it does, the fire thereof may even go out. Apostle Peter says by taking heed to that word in the dark place through Meditation, we begin to fan the embers of its potentials to flame. To take heed means to pay rapt attention, to focus on, to concentrate on. What that means is that we are to Meditate our way into Truth by the help of the Holy Spirit. When we stay on that Word, and mutter it and think it and roll it over in our hearts, we fan those embers and in good time, the day will dawn and the Day Star will arise in our hearts! Once that Day Star arises, we are bound to be a physical manifestation of what That Word talks about. The Holy Spirit is the One showing us the navigation system in The Word as we Meditate.
Many people think they know God… but the reality is that it is impossible to know God without The Holy Spirit unveiling Him to us via Meditation in The Word. And once He unveils Him to you, you will become in flesh, what The Holy Spirit has revealed to you supernaturally in the place of Meditation.
Let me show you a few powerful verses of Scripture as we tie this up here;
Matthew 5:15-16 KJV
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
1 Timothy 4:15 KJV
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
Proverbs 20:27 KJV
The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord , searching all the inward parts of the belly.
You see, we are used to quoting Matthew 5:16 which primarily says we should let our lights shine, that the world may see our good works and glorify God in heaven. But the real meat is in verse 15.
No man lights a candle and puts it under a bushel! God did not light your spirit (the candle of the Lord) so that it can be dominated by your flesh through its lust thereof. Your flesh is the bushel, covering the glory and potential of your spirit, but in the process of Meditation, The Holy Spirit helps us carry that light in the dark place of our minds, and place it on a candlestick, which gives light to both us and those who we interact with. What will make you the wonder to your generation is actually Meditation! 1 Timothy links it all together and says when we Meditate on the Word, our profiting and glory begins to appear to all men. That is simply genius!
Meditation is golden friends! The Word of God is perfect, converting the soul!
To convert means to change the form, character or function of something. Wooow!
The Word of God is designed to Convert Souls that have been subjected to the software of the world and He does that in the place of Meditation!
I trust this blessed your heart! I’d like to hear from you.
Have a productive week ahead!????
