New Creation Prayers (10)

by Damilola Oguntunde

Good morning to you Divine Perspective Readers. It’s a great day to be alive isn’t it? He that preserves His own people neither sleeps nor slumbers, he’s got no Alzheimer’s or Schizophrenia, He has never forgotten us and He never will. Quickly before we go into our topic of the day, God laid it on my heart to say this, you probably have heard it before; it’s never about the things happening or not happening on your outside that determines how your disposition will be, it is ALWAYS about the atmosphere you permit on your inside that determines your disposition. So please keep watch over what you allow gain mastery over your life through your mind, whatever that thing is… it will determine your future. Ok, now that that is out of the way, let’s continue with our train of thoughts on New Creation Prayers. We focused on the place of following God’s purpose for our lives being our ultimate priority and not trying to fulfil our dreams our own way. You can decide to live a supernatural life and you can decide otherwise, it’s all your choice. A man living by the instructions of the life giver Himself is bound to live a supernatural life, where hindrances and obstacles are given little or no attention. The purpose of God for your life is the reason behind your coming on earth. How did I know that?

Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV) Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee and I ordained thee a prophet to the nations.

The key word here for me is “BEFORE”, God was speaking to Prophet Jerry and He told him that way BEFORE his mother met his father, before his father cooked up the lines that got his mother to say YES, way before his father even knew how to tie his shoe laces, God had known him. Woooooow, this is just remarkable isn’t it? There is no time frame to BEFORE, it could be as long as the eternal past. God had been musing over your coming on earth, He had been thinking about it way before the foundation of the world, He had a big plan, and you were a big part of it. He was waiting for the perfect time to introduce you to the scheme of things here on earth, He had your whole life, identity and purpose all thought out before you even became a blip on the monitor, ever before your mother discovered she was pregnant. Your life had been concluded before its introduction. Imagine how deliberate God was about you, you’re not an after thought, you’re not the product of a cataclysmic hormonal imbalance, you’re not a mistake… You’re the product of a deliberate strategy by a deliberate God. If everyone understood how foreplanned their lives were, then they wouldn’t be trying to fix a purpose for themselves once they got on earth. God’s purpose for your life is not an opinion, and hence it’s not subject to change. God will NEVER change His mind about your purpose, and that’s why He wants to open your eyes to so you can discover firsthand, His purpose for your life. It took eternity to prepare for your arrival, God cannot change His course for your destination in the time realm.

Gal 1:15 (KJV) But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by His GRACE, 16 To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Here Paul again is saying that it was actually not on the road to Damascus that God cooked up a purpose for him, God had preordained that he would be an apostle to the heathen ever before he was born. God had separated him from his mother’s womb to be an apostle, but it took him over 3 decades to eventually find it in God. God didn’t change his mind about Paul and He won’t change His mind about you either. The first thing your enlightened eyes will do to you is connect you to the big picture God had in store for you. You see why the Pauline Prayers are so powerful? There’s no amount of money any man can have that will drown out the yearning for the fulfilment of purpose. Paul could call all the things he had achieved dung, after he found purpose, he couldn’t do that before. When you locate God’s reason for sending you down here, your whole life will take a massive paradigm shift. God’s purpose brings upon you immortality. What do I mean? When a man is on assignment for God, the whole artillery of hell cannot kill him because the protocol detail of heaven is now at his disposal. He literally becomes immune to death until he is satisfied with life, especially when that life lived to fulfil God’s purpose. Satisfaction is a function of the receiver and not the giver. Psalms 91:16

Psalms 118:17 (KJV) I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

If you aren’t declaring God’s work on the earth with your life, you don’t deserve living, but glory to God if your life is all about serving the will and purpose of your Lord, then no demon in hell can take you home before your time. People who live on purpose decide when they leave the earth, death doesn’t happen to them, they happen to death. Read Phil 1:21-26 to understand what I mean. Paul was literally contemplating: “should I die now or should I just chill so I can be a blessing to these guys? If I go now, meehn, I’d far prefer that, cos I’d be hooking up with Jesus straight up, but if I stay, well I’ll still be of some help to them, so let me just chill out” This was the inner conversation Paul had within himself put in contemporary language. At some point he was captured and set to be delivered before Caesar to appeal his case. A Storm arose and the captive was encouraging his captors that nothing will happen to them because he was with them. He encouraged them and multiplied bread for them to eat, wooooow, what a supernatural life Paul lived. He was bigger than the storm. An angel of the Lord whom he belonged to and whom he served stood by him and assured him of safety. That’s where I want to be, a place where death, storms and hell have no hold on me anymore.

1 Cor 3:21 (KJV) Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come, all are yours.

God has called us to really big things. He called us to accomplished great heights for Him. When He called us, He marked us “qualified” and justified us, and then he honoured and glorified us. Honour and glory are waiting for us in the place of fulfilling God’s call. There’s no shame there, no struggle, no lack, no burden. Whoever does the sending does the funding. If you’re on assignment for God, then you’re on God’s payroll. He is yet to owe any worker that has ever worked for him. He is not government, He is God. Glory to God.

With all we’ve said now, I believe some people would ask questions like… “How do I know what God wants me to do? Will everybody be a preacher or fivefold minister? I want to do God’s will for my life, but I don’t even know where and how to start? I’m way over 50 years of age, is it too late to fulfil God’s purpose? Isn’t living a holy life a good enough way to serve God and fulfil His purpose for my life?, etc”. We would try to give God’s perspective on these questions in our subsequent posts, however, I’m not assuring you that we can answer all these questions. I know they are commonly asked questions that require answers but this is what I can assure you, if you follow this series meditatively and seek God’s face concerning your own life questions, He WILL answer the questions on your heart way better than we could ever try to do on Divine Perspective.

Please take this confession with me, “I AM A MAN ON ASSIGNMENT, I AM A THREAT TO THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS, I LIVE ON PURPOSE FOR A PURPOSE, I AM NOT WITHOUT DIRECTION, I KNOW WHAT TO DO PER TIME, I AM FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL IN ALL WISDOM AND SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING, I FULLY FILL OUT GOD’S PURPOSE FOR ME ON EARTH, I CAN’T DIE UNTIL I’M DONE, I WAS PUT HERE FOR A PURPOSE AND I AM NOT LEAVING HERE UNTIL I DISCOVER AND FULFIL THAT PURPOSE, THANK YOU JESUS, AMEN.
