New Creation Prayers (7)

Good morning Beautiful Divine Perspective Readers. That’s for those who didn’t know the full meaning of DPR… Hehe. I hope you enjoyed your weekend? Every time I ponder on God’s faithfulness, I suddenly lose my grip of command on English language. Language can be limiting a lot of times, because there are some emotions you feel in hearts towards God and the only thing that best captures it would be a melody in your heart unto Him. Let us endeavour to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs unto God as often as possible, they bless Him in more ways than we can imagine. Oh yeah, God can be blessed by the expression of our satisfaction in Him. He is indeed beyond the scope of human vocabulary. God is deep!!! About a few days ago, a Divine Perspective Reader shared her testimony with me, about how a lot of symptoms were trying to gain entrance into her body, but on remembering that Christ had FINISHED her healing on the cross, she jacked back to consciousness and rebuked the symptoms, the healing happened so fast she didn’t even know when it happened, glory to God! Now the time she was healed wasn’t the time God DECIDED to heal her, please take note of that. However, the time she physically got healed was when she realised she had ALWAYS been healed in Christ Jesus. No man of God has ever been responsible for healing another human being, NONE!!! Like Brother Kenneth Hagin would say of himself, “I can’t heal gnat’s wing”. If the person wasn’t healed in Christ, he/she couldn’t be healed now, but blessed be God who has made full payment for the healing of every man who would ever be IN CHRIST. Their healing is now dependent on whether or not they know how that their health has been guaranteed by the marred and disfigured body of Jesus, fastened to a wooden crucifix, dangling 12 feet above the ground between 2 condemned criminals. If all Jesus shed was an ounce of blood for our sakes, it would have sufficed for our redemption. Oh you didn’t get me… an ounce of the blood of deity is worth more than an ocean of the blood of all humanity. But He didn’t shed only an ounce, He went ahead to exhaust his blood on the mercy seat in the heavenly tabernacle. If you have any regard for what Jesus did for you on the cross, you will have zero tolerance for sickness and disease. When you pray for God to heal you, it’s like telling Him, the works Jesus did was insufficient, as though there’s a disease His blood couldn’t deal with.

Eph 1:21(KJV) … FAR ABOVE ALL principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

What Jesus did had effect over all powers, dominion and names of that time and the time to come. I remember during the Ebola saga here in Nigeria, I was quite unhappy about how Christians especially, magnified the disease and its effects. I went to a church where another Doctor Pastor was given the pulpit to educate members on the effect of the Ebola virus and how to prevent it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I could literally sense fear in the atmosphere as every one heaved heavy sighs at every pause of the “ministeration”. The sad part was that when an elder asked the Minister about using Faith in the Word against Ebola, she said, in her own words, “Ebola is different o, let’s be careful…”, that just got me so upset. We claim to believe Jesus until we face a dire situation and then Jesus becomes insufficient, how could any one say Ebola is different and insinuating that The Blood couldn’t disarm its effect? Now this is not aimed at criticising or pulling down any church or person, neither is it about making myself look like the “Jesus Maximiser”, who knows how to best put Redemption Realities to good use. It’s just not right for the Church to propagate the course and agenda of the enemy. Doing proper exigencies and analysis in the Church, on a virus which Jesus’ blood dealt with is just as bad as teaching people how to sin. The same token of sacrifice that dealt with sin, dealt with disease. The news and media houses had battered people with enough fear and even folly because some people were already bathing with salt. The church was their last point of hope and edification. We ought to have taught about the power in the Name, the Blood and the Word and read from psalms 91. We are meant to be the light of the world and pray for boldness to lay hands on the sick so they can recover, like the apostles did in Acts 4, and not teach Christians how to avoid Ebola victims. How Ebola left Nigeria cannot be explained medically, that’s as far as I can tell, there was definitely a supernatural intervention through prayers. Prayer allows the believer take authority and enforce the KNOWN will of God on earth. Sick is sick, whether with Ebola, cancer, hepatitis or malaria… Jesus commands us to lay hands on the sick and they will recover (how could we lay hands on someone we were trying to avoid?). Prayer can not do anything that hasn’t been done, it only enforces what has been already spiritually done. I was once sick with hepatitis and could have died from it, so you understand why I take this a bit personal. It was not the time I got healed physically that God healed me, but the time I got healed was when I enforced my healing by speaking to the sickness to leave, and it left. I think we give “Men of God” more credit for the healings and miracles we see than JESUS CHRIST our sacrificial substitute Himself. Remember when a crowd gathered around Peter thinking he healed the man at the gate called beautiful? Please take time to read the following text…

Acts 3:10 (KJV) …And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, AS THOUGH BY OUR OWN POWER OR HOLINESS WE HAD MADE THIS MAN TO WALK?13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

It was neither Peter’s holiness nor power that was responsible for that man’s healing, and trust me Peter wasn’t just trying to be humble when he said that, he was simply stating the truth. Verse 16 says it was Faith in the name of Jesus that made the man strong. Jesus didn’t decide to make him strong at that moment, the man was made strong when he believed In the NAME of Jesus. There is so much power in that name. The name of a man represents the capacity of that man. Jesus’ name represents everything He did on our behalf and much more, that is why we pray IN THE NAME OF JESUS. It gives us direct access to the Father as though it were Jesus praying directly to His Father. We are joint heirs together with Him and have as much access to the Father as He does. We exercise authority on earth through Jesus’ Holiness and Power and not ours, just like Peter explained. You will see more healings and miracles if you focus more on His Holiness and Power rather than yours. When we pray, we must understand what the Word of God says about that thing, and then declare the will of God with authority in prayer. James wasn’t meant to die had the Church prayed, but thank God the church prayed for Peter. Prayer indeed changes things. There are some truths that require repetition and we should never get tired of hearing them again and again. Again, if you have value for the things Jesus did, then I think it won’t be a bad idea to know exactly what He paid for, so you don’t have to pay for it again, and so you can go ahead to receive it in Prayer. Do well to decree peace into your week and you shall have exactly what you say. Have a great week ahead.

Mark 11:23 (KJV) 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
