Nothing Stops Resurrection

by Damilola Oguntunde

Good morning Friend. Happy Easter to you.

Today, by God’s Grace we would be briefly sharing on a subject connected to the season we’re in. I trust God to enlarge these insights in your hearts.

Matthew 27:65-66 (KJV) Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

In order to avoid the possibility of a conspiracy by Jesus’ disciples, the Pharisees and Chief Priests asked Pilate to order a watch of soldiers to guard and secure the sepulchre where Jesus was buried. My interest in this passage however is Pilot’s response to the Pharisees. He told them to make it as sure as they could and they sure did. We would be bringing out 2 powerful lessons from this passage… Please follow me as we glean on.

1. The devil will do all he can to stop you but resurrection is unstoppable: We know Pilate told the accusers and cruicifiers to do all they can to secure the tomb… What we also know is that as sure as they tried to make the tomb, they still fell short of what it took to stop resurrection. No mortal man can hinder resurrection. Resurrection was to Jesus what fulfilling your purpose is to you today. Resurrection was the climax of Jesus’ assignment on the earth. Everything was consummated as resurrection. No man can ever stop the fulfilment of your purpose, not even the devil. The assurance that we have about our future is locked up in resurrection. Without resurrection, we have nothing else to believe in or for.

Hebrews 10:7 (KJV) Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Jesus came to fulfil to the letter every scene on the eternal script of God’s counsel of which resurrection was chief. The way the life, ministry and calling of Jesus were written in the volume of the book, so have your life, ministry and calling been written in your book with God. The devil will do all he can to stop it, the same way He tried in Pharaoh to kill Moses and did all he could in Herod to kill Jesus, you won’t be different… Just like Pilate told them to do all they could to secure the tomb, so it is with your purpose in life… He would do everything to stop you from fulfilling God’s plan for your life, but Glory to God… Nothing can stop resurrection. I remember recounting how many things God has saved me from and brought me through just yesterday… (you can check my Facebook page for that) and I couldn’t but Salute God’s commitment to keep me in spite of the devil’s desperate desire to destroy me. God is committed to you and He would not allow His pre-ordained plan for your life be thwarted by the enemy. You have a major role to play in the fulfilment of your purpose though, which is cooperating with Him thoughts and words concerning you and acting upon it.

2. Your angels use your problems and challenges as sitting stools: The next thing we must understand is that the type of Angels you have at your disposal are such that they use the things the devil wants to use to keep you grounded and unfortunate as their sitting stools. Glory to God! How do I know this? The Bible went on to explain to us what eventually happened at the tomb of the once dead Jesus in Matthew 28. He said there was an angel who descended from heaven after an earthquake and rolled away a great stone it took a battalion to install… He didn’t just roll it away, He then sat upon it. What a picture! Do you see what I see? You have more than one angel beloved and each angel has a Base limit fire power to destroy at least 185000 people per night. These angels are excellent in strength and most importantly, they are waiting for your instructions for them to execute. So why haven’t you been engaging them? You think angels are for Men of God alone? They have been waiting for you all your life… Engage them to go out there and bring harvests of glory your way. Your angels help you fulfil your destiny… Engage them! They helped Jesus on His way to the Cross. They were there when he fasted 40 days and 40 nights, they were there at Gethsemane and they showed up at resurrection. They were present at the vital moments in His ministry. If Jesus needed the Ministry of Angels in order to fulfil purpose, then so do you.

Obviously if the enemy knew exactly what God’s plan for Jesus was, which was death, he wouldn’t have touched Jesus, that tells me he doesn’t know God’s plan for you, so relax. Your purpose is unique and of irreplaceable worth, the devil cannot thwart what he is not privy to, he can only assist its fulfilment. You are the biggest factor in the equation of your destiny fulfilment. Don’t give the enemy any room!

Resurrection has been given to you, it’s not a message that has significance only during Easter Celebrations… We ought to perpetually live in the resurrection side of life where it’s not a concept to visit every once in a while but a life to live in God till we see him face to face.

What are you doing with resurrection?

Have a great week ahead.

All this while, the enemies of Christ thought in their respective minds that they were actually thwarting the purpose while Christ came to the world. Not knowing that they were actually helping in fulfilling the purpose.
In addition to the aforementioned, sometimes our enemies pushes us to achieving our purpose in life.
Trial and challenges are meant to strengthen us for the glory ahead.
Great one sir.
