In what was an extension to last week’s message, Pastor Dami Oguntunde started by emphasizing the effects of the trial season of the believer, he highlighted that the purpose being identification with Christ’s glory, the pathway is identification with Christ’s sufferings. He added that these trials then work in us, amongst other things, the capacity to give comfort to those who will go through similar things we have been through.
He then showed us the posture of our heart during adversity. We are to be prayerful because beyond our zealous commitments, it is a believer’s prayer life that will sustain him in the days of adversity. He added that we become active joy practitioners because of joy has the ability to illuminate the eyes of the heart of a believer. We are also to be faithful, no longer having a demand on God, or subjecting God to performance, because we now judge Him faithful through our seasons. We are also to be fruitful through the trials and testing of our faith because the waiting season is an active season. Lastly, we are to be thankful for all things as this makes our vision clearer, guarantees our future, and puts our past where it should be, behind us. Glory!!!
