Good morning Friend,
I trust you’re had a great weekend. The series on the book of Daniel has been quite instructive for me. It is really an amazing experience to just delve in to God’s Word in details to such a degree that you begin to milk out every juicy insight from each verse. 4 profound articles have come out of Chapter 1 of The Book of Daniel and there is yet more to plunge into. I hope you’re ready? I’d like to hear from you on how this series has been for you as well.
Today, we go straight into chapter 2 of The Book and what we’re about to explore today is quite instructive and paradigm shifting. By God’s Grace, I trust that after this reading, a light bulb in your mind will come on and you will begin to see situations and circumstances the way God sees in Jesus name.
The first introduction of God in Scriptures was in the context of CRISIS and what a star performer He was. It is quite amazing God’s approach to CRISIS, it is contrary to our disposition to Crisis. Crisis can be the tool you glide with into the future or become the reason for stagnation and retrogression. Every single time God was about to release one of His finest servants, ministers or soldiers into Kingdom relevance, He used Crisis as His wheel. If you as a believer, have not come to terms with this dimension of God’s wisdom, you will always pray amiss in the midst of opportunity. You will keep praying for cups to pass over you while refusing the consolation of the Spirit, when ultimately, those cups are your tickets into glory.
Daniel was doing just fine on the local level with his colleagues and senior astrologers, but when God was about release him into National relevance, He troubled the waters in the mind of Nebuchadnezzar and implanted an unforgettable forgotten dream.
Daniel 2:1 (NKJV) In the second year of his reign, King Nebuchadnezzar started having dreams that disturbed him deeply. He couldn’t sleep. He called in all the Babylonian magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and fortunetellers to interpret his dreams for him. When they came and lined up before the king, he said to them, “I had a dream that I can’t get out of my mind. I can’t sleep until I know what it means.
Suddenly there was CRISIS. The King is troubled; The cabinet is summoned; Senators’ lives are at stake; Everyone is panicking; Fear engulfs the atmosphere.
Usually in such an atmosphere, no one is capable of thinking straight enough to figure out a solution because fear has created a fog in the minds of people to such a degree that reason, logic and visions are impaired. Daniel heard about the summon of the King and his eventual threat but rather than get into the same arena of confusion, trepidation and fear, he took ownership of the situation and requested that the king give him only a few days. Peace is the ability to see clearly in the midst of confusion. Many people would have passed many of the exams they failed, if they only eliminated fear during the exams. If they could have seen clearly in the midst of a confusing atmosphere, they would have come up with answers.
Problems remain problems to those without a clue, but Problems become Solutions to those who see through the eyes of the Spirit. Never be the first to accuse God in the midst of a Crisis situation, it shows short-sightedness and lack of capacity to handle the future. If Joseph had collapsed like a two-dollar suit case upon seeing the 7 years of famine as they swallowed up the 7 years of abundance, he could never have had the serenity of mind to proffer a workable solution.
We must never be perturbed in Crisis like we do not know who our Daddy is. Every single Patriarch mentioned in Hebrews 11 was mentioned BEACAUSE God released them into Crisis and they stayed afloat, every single one of them. the Chief Corner Stone Himself was released into the direst of situations called SIN and became the solution to its menacing effect upon humanity forever. The day you run off with your tail between your legs at the sight of a Crisis, that day, you disqualify yourself from moving into a higher dimension of glory. Jesus rebuked them because they had no faith! Why scream, clamour and wail at the sight of the storm? Stay at peace and realize that the peace to still the storm is right inside of you.
The problems are not the problem, they are indeed the answers to long standing prayers. We receive direction in prayer to act, in at atmosphere of peace, not in a chaotic mind. The next time you experience Crisis, ask God, what is here for me to see, seize and take advantage of? Once you ask that, go into prayer, get some sharpeners around (read the last post to understand) and begin to search your spirit for answers, they are locked up there.
Every business that thrives is either solving a big problem or creating a big opportunity where no one was looking. Either ways, they chose to see the world in a different prism and refused to play catch up.
Look for opportunities in Crisis and voala… and There Was Light!
Romans 8:28 (NKJV) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Have a blessed and fruitful week ahead. God bless your heart!
