Happy New Year Friend,

It’s good to be back on Divine Perspective this brand-new year. 2018 promises to be a massive year and I pray that you stand perfect and complete in all the will of God for your life this season and beyond in Jesus name.

We started a series towards the end of the year 2017 tagged; “The Four Wise Colonies” and quite frankly it has been one of the most profound series of articles to be posted on Divine Perspective since its inception… I kid you not. The feedback has also been quite interesting and encouraging, so I implore you, if you have missed any part of the series to go back and read up on the missed article(s), you’d sure be glad you did. We have learned and gleaned from The Ants (The Shrewd Savers), The Conies (The Impossible Achievers), The Locusts (The Swarm of Leaders) and by God’s Grace, today we will be learning from the Spiders (???)
Some translations chose to use the Lizard instead of Spider, but for the sake of consistency, we will stick with The Spider.

So yeah, over the past one week, I’ve been thinking and meditating on the Spider and its unique features, so that I can have something insightful to share with you guys. But quite frankly, at first the Spider didn’t seem like an interesting “thing” to think about, especially if you’re one who is scared of spiders… not like I am o, ah me that eats the giant Tarantula for lunch… in my dreams *smiles*. If you’re now a very superstitious Yoruba “Purzon” who believes the greatest weapon in the hand of the devil is the Spider’s Web, you definitely can’t think of learning anything from such a demonic agent of the enemy.

So, what for you is the most profound feature of a spider? Its web? Its Eight Legs? Or the fact that at any point in time, you’re always at least 3 feet away from a spider? Yeah, they’re that coded.

Proverbs 30:24-28 (KJV)
24 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.

The Bible here says that the Spider taketh hold with her hands and is found in Kings’ Palaces. I would like to say to you my friend that in the year 2018, for you to be found in the palace, you must know how to take hold with your hands. This is the final installment in this series and what I’m about to share with you is so profound and crucial to your success in 2018 that it demands your total attention. A spider takes resources from within itself and spurns it onto the reality she is reaching for and gradually begins to drag itself to that reality. All the spider needs to get from any point A to point Z for the rest of her life has been installed in her as liquid which when released and exposed to air solidifies to form the webs we see. A spider can never have deficiency of webs as long as she possesses the liquid on her inside. It is liquid on her inside, but a potent web on the outside.

Listen to me Friend, the Liquid is the Word, the Web is your Imagination while the Hands with which you pull and move towards your goal is your Faith. As long as you’re not deficient of the Word, you’re not deficient of a Productive Imagination (Hope) and Faith, for Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word.

Joshua and Caleb are perfect examples of “Spiders” who had gotten so drunk on the Word and the promises God gave to their fathers that it had completely impacted on how they imagined the Canaan Land and nothing in the world could stop them from getting in there. They couldn’t see and picture things the way the other “grasshoppers” did, while others saw the inhabitants as giants, they saw them as bread. That’s what happens when you fill your heart with the liquid of the Word of God; your imagination becomes very potent and powerful and as you project it into the future, the active force of faith begins to move in the direction of your most dominant thoughts and imagination. You’ve got to spurn your webs of imagination into the palace, and mobilise your hands of faith to navigate you there.

Remember that everything the spider needs for her movement and nourishment all its life are locked up in the liquid in her belly. Everything you need to become all that God has in store for you are locked up in your spirit. As often as you read, meditate and ponder upon the Word in the year 2018, which reveals the identity of your spirit man, (go to TRANSFORMATION on damioguntunde/trans-formation/) your imagination and faith is quickened to align with the Word.

Wherever the web of the spider cannot latch on to, the spider cannot attain. A spider is only as powerful, mobile, fast or as weak and vulnerable as her web. This new year belongs to those with a very active imagination, who can create realities for themselves that hitherto didn’t exist, those who will wake up every morning with a spring in their feet and be excited to conquer life because their imagination is so active. I hear the tenor of the voice of an 80-year-old Caleb, who 40 years after the promise was made, never lived a day without imagining himself possessing that land… so much that his imagination had affected his strength that it was not abated.

Whatever the Word of God has in store for you this year, implant them indelibly in your imagination and watch how the active force of faith will kick in and bring you into your desired haven. When the imagination is active, faith is triggered and your hands are empowered to pursue your dreams, but when hope is lost and imagination is weakened, hands become weary and despondent. Your imaginations are your Hopes and Thoughts Of Possibilities (TOPs).

What are your TOPs in the year 2018? Are they founded in the Word? Have you spurned them out deliberately and actively onto your desired realities? Are your hands grabbing hold of them and navigating you to your destination? If you have, then I’m glad to announce to you that you’re on your way to the palace. God has massive thoughts for you this year, they are all contained in His Word, plant same in your heart and see how easy walking by faith becomes. I have seen amazing things happen in my life all because I chose to possess very healthy TOPs.

I’ve never been as excited about any year as I have been about 2018, it’s gonna be doxa. Practice these principles and watch your life soar to the next level. Every principle contained in this series is so profound in itself, now imagine what the cocktail of these principles will produce in your life.
