The Multiplier Effects

by Damilola Oguntunde

Good morning Friend. How was your weekend? I trust it was great. I hope you thoroughly enjoyed the post I shared with you last week about God’s perspective on sex. I thought it was a really enlightening one and I believe it edified you. Today we will be talking about the Multiplier Effects. A Multiplier in mathematical terms, is any thing you add to an already existing entity, but gives an exponential result in the end. In spiritual terms as well, there are factors you combine with other factors in your life that will cause a massive exponential effect in your circumstances. The devil always wants us to believe that we have nothing to say or do to change our present circumstances, but that is a lie from the pit of hell. Heaven always waits for a man who is bold enough to do His Word, those are the men He confirms with Signs following. Today we will be sharing a few Multiplier Effects that if included in the already saturated atmosphere of your life will have a catalytic effect. Don’t trust what I say, trust what God had done in the past and His ability to do the same in your life.

1. Thanksgiving: There were times Jesus wanted to multiply bread in a crusade service, the one thing He didn’t forget to do was to give thanks. There is a portal to heaven that thanksgiving has an access which no other spiritual concept has. It just always deals this lethal blow to the kingdom of hell. The devil will do everything to make you ungrateful and focus on all the bad things happening around you, so much that it will stifle your praise. God on the other hand wants you to raise memorials of thanksgiving at every point of His intervention in your life. He always told the children of Israel to do the same, sad to say that they raised physical and historical memorials, but deleted the testimony from their memory. What is a memorial without a memory?

Psalms 78:41 (KJV) Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. 42. They remembered not His hand or the day when He delivered them from the enemy.

Every time you’re tempted to judge God as unfaithful, somebody tampered with your memory… You must be quick to get it back. You will limit God with your ingratitude and short term memory, but stand the eternal chance of multiplying God’s power in your life when you’re given to Thanksgiving and Praise. The children of Israel limited God. I doubt if any other generation saw as much of God’s raw power like those bunch, but they forgot every bit of it and lusted after things that will NEVER satisfy. This tells me that the attitude of a man towards thanksgiving is not dependent on his volume of testimonies, it is only dependent on his view of God. If a man’s dominant perspective about God is that He is not Faithful, no matter the amount of miracles God performs, he will still see it from the view point of unfaithfulness. They were busy remembering the cucumbers of Egypt.

Numbers 11:4 (KJV) And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:
6 But now our soul is dried away:there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

They remembered the fish, cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlicks but forgot the slavery of Egypt, the marginalisation, the deprivation to worship freely their God, the dehumanisation, the bondage. They forgot all that and zoomed in on the benefits that accrued only to their bellies. In the last days, the Bible makes it clear that people become ungrateful. It’s a bad thing to be an ungrateful. They magnified vanity and despised divinity. They said there is NOTHING at all, asides this MANNA. How could they call God’s delicacy NOTHING. The meal that preserved them for years and stored up nourishment for them? Before anything awfully wrong begins to happen to your Christian faith, you will lose your gratitude to God for the things that count and become petty. Foolish bargains like “If you give me this car, house, visa, admission, etc I will serve you…” begin to proceed out of our mouth. We begin to Judge God’s Faithfulness with things money can buy… at that point, God is asking… Is this all I’m worth to you? Choose to have a Praise Raise. Raise your level of praise and thanksgiving. You have more things to give thanks for than there are to sulk about. Even in front of the tomb of a 4-day dead man and a bunch of unbelieving mourners, Jesus had enough sight and time to give thanks to His Father. Thanksgiving is never about your circumstance, but the attitude of your heart towards your perception of God.

We can’t go further today on thanksgiving, but we would wrap it up in the next post as we also share the second Multiplier Effect. God bless you and have great week ahead.

Thanksgiving is never about my circumstances whether favourable or not. It’s about how I perceive God. Thank you sir. This is deep
