Good morning Divine Perspective Reader.
It’s always a huge pleasure to minister to you on a weekly basis. I don’t take it for granted and I pray that God will enlarge these truths in your heart and make you into what the Word talks about in Jesus name.
This morning by God’s Grace, we will begin a series I theme “Web of Wisdom”. In these series, we will advance Biblical thoughts, concepts and principles that if applied will transform the life of the wielder. These principles we would be advancing and sharing together are timeless and powerful laws that are not subject to change. They worked for Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, Daniel and JESUS. If they worked then, they will work today because Jesus Christ who is the Word of the God and the perfect expression of God’s Wisdom is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8, Colosians 2:2.)
Before we go on in this series of teaching, I will like to establish some foundational points to note about Wisdom and why we must pursue it passionately. This is going to be a very straight forward, practical series where things are going to be said the way they really are… Only by wisdom through the Word can you get ahead in this very dark world. Please let’s ride together;
1. Wisdom is The Principal thing: The Bible says in Proverbs 4:7 that Wisdom is the Principal thing and urges us all to get Wisdom and not leave behind Understanding. A principal thing according to the dictionary is primary and most important. This means that Wisdom is Primary and Most Important in any given endeavour. Wisdom cannot afford to be put on the back burner. Anyone that postpones his acquisition of Wisdom has delayed his progress automatically. A child who wants to begin learning English by writing letters and skips learning the Alphabet (which is primary and most important to learning the English language) has just announced his impending failure. The acquisition of Wisdom to a wise man should be a matter of urgency and high importance. When a man snubs wisdom, he will pay in the end with more than he can afford… Like lost years. Every man is a cumulative reflection of the volume of Wisdom he has imbibed and applied or a picture of its deficiency. Don’t delay your opportunity to acquire wisdom! Never do that again. Wisdom is Primary and Most Important. If you’re the type that would rather buy clothes, shoes and bags than purchase a good book. You haven’t seen wisdom as Principal and what happens to fools is closer to you than you think.
2. Wisdom is not a hidden virtue: Matthew 11:19, Luke 7:35 both say the same thing. That Wisdom is proven by her fruits. We know a man has wisdom by just watching the way he governs his affairs. The same way we percieve a man of folly by merely watching him, we can see wisdom at work in a man’s life. When the Queen of Sheba came to see King Solomon and hear his wisdom, the Bible says She SAW his wisdom.
1 Kings 10:4-6 (KJV) And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon’s wisdom, and the house that he had built,
5 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. note note
6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom
The Queen of Sheba didn’t just come to hear, she also came to see. When a man is wise, He doesn’t have to tell people about how wise he is, people will see wisdom written all over his life. Your life can be a true reflection of the wisdom from above, do you desire such visible manifestation of God’s wisdom? It is available for the taking. Finally for this installment;
3. God gives Wisdom to those who desire and pursue it: Throughout scriptures, we see a pattern, no man received and walked in the God given wisdom accidentally. They had to literally demand for it, by prayer and pursuit. The wisdom of God for your life will never fall on your laps, it must be pursued. The first law of Wisdom you must learn is that Wisdom ALWAYS responds to Honour and Value. Wisdom will become vulnerable and available to the man who honors, values and prioritises her. Solomon had to ask for wisdom, 1 Kings 3:5-13, Daniel asked for Wisdom and thanked God for it, Daniel 2:20-23… And in case you were still in doubt, Apostle James made it crystal clear that if you believe you need wisdom, don’t just sit there and assume it will permeate your heart by diffusion, the spiritual world doesn’t acknowledge anything until it is verbalised… So ask, not in doubt but in faith; A consistent and positive expectation of good without wavering and God will not deny you access.
God has massive things in store for you this season and you can only access them by the law of Wisdom. There is so much to share… This is just the beginning! Have a fabulous week ahead.
