Who do You Think You Are?

This question is the only question everything and everyone in your life has ever asked you. They might not have asked in literal terms, but make no mistake, everything around you questions you about who you think you are. Notice I didn’t say who you are, but who you think you are. In life, who you are doesn’t make much difference in your life if you don’t know it. There’s a staggering amount of believers today who are seated far above, but are oppressed by power far below them. Who you are is not as consequential to your life as much as who you THINK you are.

Everything and everyone in your life will attempt to impose on you, an identity that is not originally yours. Your grades will tell you you’re a dummy, your health will tell you you’re a weakling, your life realities will tell you you’re what you experience, but do not let that be the end of your story. You’re not what happened to you. The woman with the issue of blood had a name, probably had a family where she was accepted and loved… UNTIL she had an issue of blood.

After 12 years of nursing that issue, she got lost in the mire of her issues. People couldn’t see her without attaching her identity to her circumstance. 3 bible authors referred to her as a sentence, not a name. She was called “the woman with the issue of blood”. What a name! Is it that her name was too long to pronounce, so people found a shorter version in this sentence? No. It’s simply because the devil will always try to amplify to you, the voice of a wrong identity. She heard herself being called that for several years, until she heard about someone who is the definition of TRUTH.

Mar 5:27
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

Who have you been listening to? You’re ultimately what you feed your consciousness with. If you allow people label and tag you identities that are not yours, you will find yourself with the reality of what they call you. There is only one person worth hearing about, and that’s JESUS. He alone can define who you are and He alone must you believe. Before then, everyone described her by her circumstance, but Jesus referred to her by her real identity.

Mar 5:34
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

JESUS called her DAUGHTER! She’s the daughter of the most high, not some helpless woman who was ostracized by the society and her family. She was the reason Jesus passed that path to Jarius’ house. Jesus called her daughter, and it doesn’t matter what you call her, she’s blessed and highly favoured. Make sure you think only to on things the Lord calls you. You are the light of the world, Matt 5:14, a chosen generation, 1 pet 2:9, the master piece of His creation, Psalms 8:5-6, worth dying for, John 3:16, palatial corner stones, psalms 144:12. The Word (JESUS) is full of words befitting only for your calibre.

You’re not what you see in the mirror, you’re what you see in His Word. The Word contains the picture of your real identity because you’re a spirit.

Jam 1:23-25
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

The choice is yours, listen to every other person but Jesus, and have the result of your dominant consciousness or listen to, confess, meditate on and behave your identity in Christ and watch your life soar higher than your wings can carry you. Think The Word and get Word results.

Great one! Well done Sir. The most striking part is the remembrance of the scripture that speaks of a hearer and not a doer of the word, its like looking in a mirror and forgetting what was seen just afterwards. Thats just awesome! I am who THE WORD says I am, not what people or the mirror say, what people say isnt my reality, GOD’s WORD is! HALLELUYAH!
